Darling Nicotine

the performance on sunday went quite well i must say despite my flu and wan being under the weather. a marked improvement on timing and tightness i might say myself.

been very bogged down by work and exams lately. (looking forward to post exam metronome training + backing track creation fiesta) but music has always been something of a deserved respite at the end of the day. and nothing a song that  really sings to your heart. like this song -

Brighten – Darling Nicotine

who let the bat in?
who let the bat in?
who let the bat in?
who let the bat in?
who let the bat in?

darling nicotine, you want me back, back, back.
and everything i want to end, you lack, lack, lacked.
the feelings that i’ve felt when i said i needed you,
but i don’t recall that you would ever say it back.

instead of suffering, all of the kids just kept shaking,
but not for me, because their hearts are bigger than they used to be.
and all you see is love coming out, but none of us are free.
